A. Definition

Model: Any individual to whom the agency provides services to include photographic, fittings, catwalk, and filming. For children under sixteen “model” refers to the parent/guardian who is to act on the models' behalf.

1. MODEL

1. 1 Models hired to work by our agency are contracted to work on a self-employed basis.

1. 2 Models are hired on a non-exclusive contract, which allows them to sign with other agencies located more than 100km away.

1. 3 Any direct communication with the client is prohibited and may lead to instant dismissal as well as potential legal consequences.

1. 4 You need to inform the agency about any changes to the model’s look or size by submitting a “measurement update” form within the deadlines set for your age group, or by sending updated images (see section 4.3).

1. 5 Failure to complete by the deadline, unless otherwise agreed, may result in website representation suspension until next update (which takes place every 3 months) or may result in terminating representation in full.

2. AGENCY

2. 1 The agency undertakes to act on the model’s behalf regarding the organising of client bookings.

2. 2 The agency is authorised to accept monies from the client/hirer on behalf of the model.

2. 3 Clients are billed agency fees directly, rather than having them deducted from the model’s payment as commission.

2. 4 The agency will represent models via website representation providing they obtain a website portfolio. (Please see section 4.3 and 4.4)

3. STRUT MODELS

3. 1 STRUT MODELS is open all year except for Easter, Christmas, and New Years.

3. 2 Enrolling into the school requires payment in advance. Payment must be made for any classes missed, unless the absence occurs during closures outlined in section 3.1.

3. 3 Cancelling enrolment (leaving the school) with no written or verbal communication will result in the agency terminating the models’ representation. Models cancelling enrolment with verbal or written acknowledgment will remain contracted on the books for a maximum of 6 months from date of leaving.

4. WEBSITE

4. 1 For website representation, our page is open to the public with the models’ full name visible unless otherwise agreed. The profile will show your age.

4. 2 Models enrolled into ‘STRUT MODELS’ or as a baby enrolment receive website representation included.

4. 3 Website portfolios are compulsory for website representation and provided with our in-house photographer for a nominal fee. Rates available upon request.

4. 4 Models are responsible for covering the cost of updating their website portfolios if their appearance changes. If the correct image of the Model is not shown, the Agency may stop website representation because the images are outdated (see section 1.4).

5. BOOKINGS

5. 1 All assignments will involve discussing job specifications and fees verbally with the model. You will receive written confirmation before the assignment begins.

5. 2 All complaints must be examined, with suitable actions taken, as necessary.

5. 3 The agency cannot be held liable for a model's actions or conduct while on an assignment. Therefore, will not be held liable for any costs, expenditures or losses suffered as a consequence.

5. 4 Models should expect a 3-month window from date of booking to receiving monies.

5. 5 Reimbursement for loss or damage to client’s property caused by the model will be deducted from the models’ fee prior topayment.

6. RATES

6. 1 Rates are bound to vary depending on the type of work and the client for whom work is done. The model will review these rates before confirming the booking.

6. 3 Models are responsible for travel and parking expenses.
